The Delibrative Democracy Consortium (DDC)u is an alliance of major organizations and leading scholars working in the field of deliberation and public engagement. DDC represents more than 50 foundations, nonprofit organizations, scholars, and universities. They collaborate to support research activities and advance democratic practice in North America and around the world. Has both organizational and individual memberships.

Founded 2005, the  Journal of Public Deliberation (JPD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal with the principal objective of synthesizing the research, opinion, projects, experiments and experiences of academics and practitioners. In 2017, the newDemocracy Foundation became a major sponsor.
